    Relaxing by the pool

Yeah, so this picture was last years relaxing by the pool, in Nessebar Bulgaria, it all seems kind of amazing doesn’t it? What I would not do to be right there, right now. But that’s not happening… We have just canceled our last booked trip abroad for this summer. We had plans to visit Cyprus for a week and just have that relaxing trip, you know, All-inclusive by the pool where you just let the stress fade into vacation vibes. That was our plan for our first week of the summer vacation, so now what? It takes a while, just to let it soak in that we’re not going abroad…

    Review of 2019

Last year we did a Review of 2018 so lets keep this up and make a small review of this year as well. We started 2019 in Dublin Ireland with the best group of people ever, so we kicked off the new year in style. We have stayed in Europe all year, even though we’ve had the ambission of going on a longer trip. Travelling longer takes some more planning on our behalf, and to be honest, we’re kind of to impulsive to plan a longer trip. Anyways, here’s what we have done during 2019:   JanuaryIreland, Dublin FebruarySpain, Madrid Our next trip was suppose to be Scotland and Edinburgh,…

Top 6 tasty tastings in Europe

Yes, in my opinion, this is the Top 6 of Tasty Tastings in Europe – of all the things we have tried. They are catagorized by date, staring with the first tasting we did, ending with last. Not in the order of what we liked best. And yes, I have done a few other tastings aswell, like a winetasting in Thessaloniki Greece many years ago, but it was kind of to long ago to have a keen memory of it. Wine Tasting in Bratislava – Slovakia The Whiskey Experience in Edinburgh – Scotland Beer Spa in Prague – Czech Republic Bar hopping in Dublin – Ireland Wine Tasting in Nessebar…

    The partypeople – or not!

No, I wouldnt say that we were partypeople during the trip to Nessebar. Angelica was pregnant and half way through our trip she fell ill. Just a cold, but still. She was obviouly contagious, cuz just a few days later we were all sick. The boys and I managed to keep it in check, but by the last days we were all pretty runned downand it stuck with us for a week and a half. The glamorous life huh?So we spent quite a few of our nights just chilling at either the top of the hotel looking at the view of old town Nessebar, or at the terrace of the…

    The Iconic Windmill of Nessebar

The old windwill in Nessebar is one of the things that’s on top of list to see of you google Nessbar in Bulgaria. You cant find much information about it, only that its from the Bulgarian Revival area. If you are visiting the ancient UNESCO city of Nessebar, you really cant miss the old windmill since its located in between the new and old towns, so you’ll pass it on you way. Its an instagramable icon for sure and its beautiful, but more than that… its just a windmill with its rough and basic style. When you travel, do you visit the top icons of your destination? //Ann Dont forget…

Dinner at Aquamarin in old town

If you’re walking into old town Nessebar, keep to your left just by the water. just on the edge of the town. But keep your eyes to your right, and you’ll see this place. Just look for the old wagonwheels and you’ll find the restaurant Aquamarin. The view from the restaurant is amazing, just sitting there sipping some wine and watching the sun set, thats kind of magical. If you’re into that. Who am I kidding, whos not into that? The food was great, especially the seafood. But if you ask the rest of the group, the boys will probobly say that the best thing was the Guinness. That was…

    Church of Saint Sophia

We are always out walking in the morning, me and my husband Jacob. Well not always, but usually. I just love walking around in the mornings, hitting the most attractive tourist sites before everyone else wakes up. We had all the time in the world to walk around and explore the ruins of the church of St Sophia, taking our pictures and enjoying the feel of the old architechture of this magical buliding from the 5th century. Just as we were finished and sat down for a cup of morningcoffee the busses with tourists arrived, but they didnt stay long. Im guessing their guided tour had them scheduled for another…

    Tasting at Winery Messembria

I know, there’s a lot of images. But they were all so beautiful so I just couldnt kill my darlings. If you are ever in Bulgaria and visiting the old town of Nessebar, dont miss out on the winetasting in the Winery Messembria. Its a beautiful little place in a small alleyway right in the center of old town. The tasting takes about 20-30 minutes, you can decide for yourself if you would like to taste red or whites, or maybe both. I recommend both. The wine was amazing, we ended up buying three bottles and we got one small for free. And even though Im more prone towars the…

Walk with me – old town Nessebar

Is it just me, or am I the only one doing the walking through the streets of old town Nessebar. Jacob just seems to be sitting around, right? This was one of those mornings where Angelica and Lee slept in late, that always happends during our trips so thats kind of when we go on our morning walkabouts. The old town of Nessebar is on a small peninsula in the Black Sea wich is linked with the mainland called New Nessebar, thats where we lived. But it took us like 10 minutes to walk into old town. Its one of the oldest towns in Europe, and considered one of the best…
