Castel Sant’Angelo in Rome

Have you ever been to Rome and visited Castel Sant’ Angelo?

It is the cylindrical building that’s towering up behind me in the picture with the amazing bronze statue of Michael the Arch Angel on the top. You might recognize the bulding from the movie Angels and Demons by the author Dan Brown?

That particular bulding was on my bucketlist whilst we were in Rome, I wanted to visit it so bad. And as it’s a museum today, with the cutest little cafe and whinery on the top of the bulding, with a view overlooking the entire city, its a perfect place to visit. We had a glas of wine, shared a bowl of olives, were mesmerized by the view and totally lost track of time. I did not take any pictures when we visited, I’m so sorry. I will just simply have to go back.

I would love to go back to Rome though, we only stayed for a weekend and Rome has much to offer that you cant see in only one weekend. There’s not a lot of places that on my list of “go-backs”, but Rome is definitely on.
