Iphone, Android or SLR?
You all know I love photography right? I have been photographing everything from my toys as a kid, to models in cool destinations abroad, I do a bit of landscape photography within my work and now lately I have found a fascination for taking beautiful images of food and drinks.
It’s not just a quick photo for an Instagram story, I really enjoy taking my time to set up the image. Finding the right light, the props and backdrop have to be perfect. I am trying to use everything I have learned through my years doing fashion photography to get the colors and composition right but to be honest I am just getting started with this type of photography. As always we try to shoot with both our phones and my camera, and I always like the images on the phone in the beginning, but as I start editing the photos from the camera – they always win. And I mean, the images from the phone is not bad, not at all, in fact, they are great. But there is no comparison to an image from an SLR camera.
How about you, what kind of equipment do you use?

//Ann
beattriicee

I use my iPhone Pro for quick spur of the moment shots, but for planned things I love my Canon 5D MKii
Anngelic
I have a Canon 5D MII whom I love 😃

I have to say after years of the iPhone I was more than happy to switch to Android, I believe that the resolution is also higher and better!
Hilma
Wow vilka fina bilder! Så fina färger, man blir verkligen glad! 🥰❤️

I actually love using different equipment in capturing good photo. I used SLR for big gatherings and I mostly used my Iphone or droid for taking selfies and for quick capturing of good memories of families and friends.
Emily
Ive been iphone for many years now as I have a lot of other gadgets which synchronise with it.
Melanie
I think it all depends on what you are using the phone for, but for me it has to be android, but iphone for memory power x

I use both my iphone 11 and an SLR. i love having the flixibility to use both and have taken courses in both to get the most outof them. i still have so many more options than I will have time to implement. But that’s fine!

I have an Android that I use to take photos spur of the moment. I also have a physical camera but I only use it for videos. It’s nice that we have all these options these days!
itsemma
Haha ja, jag använder mig av en Canon 200D. ☺️

I dont use my iphone anymore but I click pictures in my android.

i love both my SLR and my iPhone. Must confess though that i am lazy sometimes and won’t pull out my slr as much now that i get such gorgeous photos with the phone.

I am and will always be an apple fan so Iphone for me

I use an android, but that’s because that’s all I’ve ever had! Whenever I get a new phone, the camera is the most important feature. And storage! To keep all those photos 😊
Sushmita
SLR has no comparison! However, when comparing android or ios, I think iphone wins hands down. I have used both Pixel and Samsung Galaxy series, but nothings beats iphone image quality!

Agree, SLR always wins in the end when it comes to quality. But not when it comes to traveling with one 😋

Well, I simply have my phone. I get to play around with it’s functions every now and then.
Georgina
Ohh this looks gorgeous! I might recreate the drink as suggested. As for photography, I do take photos on both my iPhone and DSLR. Yes, photos taken on DSLR always wins for me too but my iPhone photos are not bad either. Somehow, I prefer DSLR.
emman damian
I actually use iPhone. It’s raw and it’s easy to use. Point and shoot! No drama. No frills.
Renata
Ever since I bought a bridge-camera, I’m obsessed with taking pix. Thank God I’m a solo traveller so no one holds me back – and I don’t get on anybody’s nerves. Of course, you can be far more spontaneous taking pix with your phone – and actually, the quality is really good, too. However, for special effects, I do need a real camera.
Lily
I have a SLR but sometimes my iphone does an amazing job on portrait mode. I love my iphone for photos.
Adebime
Smart phones are really doing awesome jobs nowadays, but when it comes to DSLR, it’s a bigger ball game, resolution is always higher.
Lozzy Sq
I almost always use my SLR, but if I had a phone with a better camera I wouldn’t be against using that! I just don’t trust myself not to drop and smash a really expensive phone when I’m travelling haha
Anngelic
That works just fine 😊

We use our iPhones a lot when we travel. But we still use point and shoot digital cameras too.

I am strictly Android. I don’t care what anyone says, Samsung Galaxy has the best camera out there for phones. It’s alwas that and my DSLR!!!

I miss my iphone! It took the besst pictures. I have an iphone 6 now (downgraded) and it’s nothing in comparison!
Teja
I end up mainly using my iPhone. Unless I’m underwater, and then it’s my Canon Powershot (although I’m trying to get used to a GoPro).
Yukti
Wonderful shots of pink beauties and I too agree camera has its own benefits and sometimes mobiles are very handy. If we are attending some event or function then mobile is very pocket friendly but yes the resolution of camera is always great.
Melanie Varey
I end up taking all of my photos on my iPhone. I do need to invest in a decent camera though as I take a lot of food pics.
Linda (LD Holland)
We always travel with an iPhone and a DSLR. The iPhone is great within its sweet spot. But the DSLR gives us great zoom and wide angle shots. The iPhone is used for social media shots when we are travelling. But the blog has a mix of both.
Jay Artale
On long trips I travel with a DSLR and iPhone … and a GoPro .. but on shorter trips I’m down to my iPhone. I have a bit of a camera habit, and last year bought a polaroid camera too. so impractical, but great for a party. But just so expensive. I’ve been out in my garden during lock down photographing nature, espeically the bees and the butterflies in Slo-mo.
