Parissis Winery

One of the more unusual activites as we visited the island Skiathos in Greece, we booked our selves a tour and winetasting at Parissis Winery. Yes, we did enjoy a glas of wine on more than one occation during our week of vacation, but this was the only winetour that we took.

It started out with the loverly Maria taking us on a tour of the surrounding areas, overlooking the vineyard, the production where they make white, red and rosewines, and of course the bar-area where the final tasting took place.

There were two different types of tastings, the Basic one for 25 Euro, that included tasting 4 different wines and a platter if snacks. We opted for the Premium choice which included 7 different wines for tasting and a bigger platter of snacks, cheese and fruits, for a cost of 40 Euro per person. A bit costly perhaps, but in my opinion it was well worth the cost since you got to try both whites, rose, red and a sweet dessert wine.

Needless to say, we both really enjoyed the tour, the tasting and the magical view of Skiathos town. So if you ever find yourself of the island of Skiathos in Greece, and have a few hours to spare, we would strongly recommend that you consider take the time to visit Parissis Winery.
