Review of 2024

Oh yeah, the New year eve between 2023 and 2024 was spent with the best of friends from Borås, and kind of feels like we always do that. A bit of a tradition of ours by now to spend all of the Swedish holidays together. And right after the New years weekend we took off for almost a week in Poland, where we spent most of our time hanging around Gdansk.

At the end of March we had a long weekend on the island of Malta, kind of a dream come true for the both of us since we have been wanting to go there for … I don’t know, years! We rented a small apartment right by the harbour in Sliema, so we could easely go by boat to the capitol Valetta.

In late April we took off for Gothenburg to meet up with our friends from Borås again, this time for a weekend filled with tastings as we visited the Whiskey and Beer Fair. I know, I don’t really enjoy whiskey or beer, but I do love spending time with our friends. And Jacob loves whiskey, so there’s that.

May gave us the perfect opportunity to spend a weekend in Paris, France. That has been a bucketlist destination for me for as long as I can remember, in fact – we have been booked to Paris before but that’s one of many trips that Covid ruined for us.

In the beginning of June we rented a small apartment of the island of Skiathos in Greece, where we spent a week just relaxing and exploring the local surroundings. Sun, relaxation and tzatziki!
In late June we headed back to Borås to see our best friends for a bit of Midsummer festivites, us Swedes hold on tightly to our traditions.

Summer came along, and with that our four weeks of summervacation… and, our second summer spent in Italy. We flew in to Rome for a quick lunch, then hopped on a train to Naples where we stayed for a few days. And just as two summers ago we didn’t really have any plans for where we were heading during our stay in Italy, but we ended up visiting Salerno for a week and then we meet up with my mother for a few days in Fiumicino. A perfect Italian summer!

At the end of august/beginning of September we headed back up to see my family up in the northern Sweden, to celebrate my uncles 60iest birthday.

In late September and beginning of October we headed back to Greece for a week on our absolut favorite island – Rhodos.

Mid-November gave us another opportunity to see our beloved friends from Borås, but this time them came over to our neck of the woods for a weekend in Stockholm, whilst we visited yet another fair – The Cocktail Fair in Stockholm.

I know, I am not a frequent blogger anymore, so thank you so much to all of you that are still checking in. It means the world to us!

If we look a bit further back, it’s actually our seventh year of writing this kind of review of the travelyear. Ain’t that kind crazy how time just fly by when you’re buzy traveling? So, if you are curious what we have been up to the last couple of years there are some fun reviews right here: 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and lastly 2023.
