    Lazy pooldays

Yes, we’re on a roll here, so lets stick with it. Lazy pooldays. Our poolarea in Sicily was the best. Sunbeds by the pool. Sunbeds by the lavarocks overlooking the ocean. A resturant overlooking the pool. It was really great. But my favorite time hanging out by the pool was in morning, watching the sunrise. You know that special time, before the world awakes and theres no sound but nature. Peaceful and quiet, thats just the best. I’m somewhat of an earlybird. I love the mornings. Yes, I love the mornings, but as I’ve told you before, I’m just not a peopleperson in the mornings. I love the quiet mornings…

    Grand Hotel Arathena Rocks

Lets stick with Sicily for a while longer, as I said there are so much I havent shown you yet… Here are some images of the interior of our hotel, beautiful right? Nicely decorated with different colours everywhere, I really enjoyed our stay at Arathena Rocks, it sure was a great hotel. Our rooms were big and cozy, with a view overlooking the volcano Etna. Couldnt have asked for more. //Ann Dont forget to join us on Facebook and Instagram for daily updates and more images.

    Taormina

On last years summer vacation we spent a week in Sicily, mainly Giardini Naxos, but we we managed the time so we had some left for a trip to Taormina, on the east coast of the island. You know what, as I’m looking through the images that we took during this trip, I realise that theree are lots and lot of images that we havent shown you at all. So I do belive that there will be more post from our trip to Sicily. Its a beautiful and viberant city, filled with all that Sicily can offer. The smell of pasta at dinner time, the sounds of people sharing…

    The temple of Apollo

The temple attracts crowds for sure, especially during sunset when it looks its best. But did I take one of those amazing images of the temple during the sunset? No. Do I regret it? Yes.   This amazing piece of architecture was dedicated to Apollo, the Greek god of beauty and its located at the far end of the peninsula in a picturesque location looking out over the Mediterranean where some great sea turtles live. Yes, I had the pleasure of seeing some of the turtles, just at a distance though, but maybe that’s a good thing, they are really big. This is not the end of the road, there’s…

    Spain, sightsing and sangria

No we didnt really do a lot of sightsing in Madrid, we didnt do all the touristy things that you are suppose to, but we did do a lot of walking so of course we saw a lot anyways. The buildings were tall and narrow in the center, with roof terraces and outdoor dining. But my favorite place in the city was La Latina where the people were all friendly and helpful, and the sangria was great. //Ann #travelblogger #madrid #sangria#winelover #travelphotography

    Torg i Madrid

    O’Sheas

Angelica’s sooooo gonna kill me for this image! 😀 Ha! Yeah I know, she’s so gonna kill me… Anyways, we lived next door to O’sheas, which made this our before and after pub. You know the place that you go to before you head out and the last place you stop by before you head to bed. It was a great place that we tried about everything at. We did drinks and beers our first night, dinnersnacks and foodsamples, more beer and livemusic another night, breakfast one of the mornings and lunch on our last day before heading to the airport. And of all the things we didnt dislike anything.…

    My drug of choice

One of my favorit relaxations is reading. It’s kind of my drug of choice. I read every night before I go to sleep, I used to carry around a book where ever I traveled, but now a days a download books on my phone instead of having the extra luggage. I mostly read differnt kinds of fantasy inspired books, such as David Eddings, James Barclay, Brent Weeks and of course Diana Gabaldon. The last one, Gabaldon, is the author of my all time favorite Outlander that made me book my first trip to Scotland. What kinds of books du you prefer, actual books or reading on your phone? And nosy…
