What differs between a trattoria, osteria, ristorante and enoteca?
I can’t be the only one that got quite confused with the different ways that Italians name the foodie meetups. But lately we have been in Italy quite a few times, so let’s try and break them down in a way that we can all understand it a bit better … here we go! Trattoria: You can expect regional cuisine at a trattoria, quite inexpensive but with a larger menu than the Osteria. Visiting Florence in Italy has been a dream of my husband Jacobs for as long as I can remember, so it was about time that we did some traveling from his bucketlist as well huh? Not just because we weren’t dragged down by all of the strange things that have been happening around the world during the past couple of years, but there’s actually been quite a lot of traveling going on. It’s been a good year, and definitely a great travel year! The beginning of 2022 started with a weekend cruise to Tallinn in Estonia, where we were supposed to see the Christmas market, but it closed the day before we got there. And not that I did not know it before, but now I REALLY know…
