How can you afford to travel?
Well yes, thats a question that we get frequently, how do we afford to travel all the time. But before I get into that, let me explain some things first. Both of us have regular jobs, where we earn average money. None of us are wealthy. Except if you count love, travels and drinks. I guess we count as hobby bloggers, not professionals, so all of the funding comes out of our own pockets. We’re bloggers for the fun of it, just the two of us trying to combine our memories and experiences into one online diary, to find an honest and loyal audience. But yes if you want to…

Christmaslist
I found this really fun list of christmas thingies at our fellow travelblogger Maria, so I thought I’de fill it in. Feel free to copy the list, just give us a shoutout so we can read your answers. Name the five first words that comes into your mind when you hear the word Christmas: Family, community, food, Donald Duck and Santa Claus. Continue the sentance “There’s no christmas without…” Family and friends of course * The most important dish of the Christmasdinner?I think its called coctail sausages, you know the small once us swedes call princes, cuz the big once are king (?) 😀 Would you consider spending christmas abroad?Oh…

Nynäsgården
So its that time of the year again, all the restaurants around us are serving up their smorgosboard with christmas foods. Last year we visited both Resturang Kroken and Nynäshamns Ångbryggeri, so for this years get together we are trying out Nynäs Gården. Oh yes, we’re trying out another local restaurant. Oh yes, babies changes cloths alot… So first off, we’re going there with Angelica and Lees newborn baby. So we called ahead just to give them heads up that we might need some extra space for the babies stroller. That was just no problem at all, we got a more secluded table with more privacy and spcae just to…

The autumn has brought us a record!
So this is what it looks like in our local surroundings, these images are taken on my way to work. The morning fog greats us every day. The leaves are turning yellow. Its getting colder and darker. And just as last year, I am struggeling with the fact that summer is over. Autumn is here, and I did not get a vote. I kind of like the autumn, nowadays, when I have an indoors job. The thing that I have a problem with is that I am not allowed on the planning committee. Atleast let me speak my mind. I dont like that it gets cold so fast, I dont…

Picnic @ Ringvägen
When you live in a small town like we do, you tend to forget how beautiful local scenery can be, so once in while you kind of need a reminder. Nynäshamn is a classic summercity, as soon as the summer strikes the city is in full bloom, vibrant and full of people. There is live music in the harbor area almost every night, even on the weekdays and tourists everywhere. That’s when us locals try to find a quiet space, with fewer people. Funny right? You complain all winter that the city is booring, cold and empty. But during the summers, we complain about the tourists, and try to hide…

Torö Stenstrand
Its not that I havent been to Torö Stenstrand before, I have been a few times, its just that I havent really noticed the beauty. I dont know why really, when you think of it, its kind of silly. Its a hidden gem, hiding in plain sight. This amazing beach is located about 30 minutes from where I live and during the summertime it feels like you’re abroad when your at this beach. Its always quite windy here, but thats kind of nice. To get there, you’ll catch the train from Stockholm to Nynäshamn, and then go by bus. Be aware though, the busses only leave every two hours, so…

Springtime has finally arrived
I do belive that spring has finally arrived in Sweden. Jinx, right? The wether is better, not as cold. The trees and flowers are about to set into blom. Its like the air is filled with happy instead of the grey glom we’ve seen since forever. It just makes me in a good mood. I wouldnt say that spring is my favorite season, but its the season that gives the most hope. I love the feeling when the sun gets starts warming your cheeks and you know its almost time to fixe the patio for the upcomming barbecue season. Its that time of year when its time to plant the…

There’s been heavy snowfall…
… during the last couple of days. And as Angelica said in the earlier post, you kind of forget how beautiful our hometown is. It sure is a privilege to have this kind of enviroment surrounding you every day. It’s cold, its a a hassle to be shoveling snow and the trafic is kind of chaos but when you stop and look around you… it’s beautiful. It’s not like I’m gonna go outside and make angels or snowmen, but still. It sure is beautiful. //Ann
