56 days spent in Turkey
Turkey is by far the country in Europe that I’ve visited the most. I’ve been trying my best to remember all of the times that I’ve been in different parts of Turkey during the years, and it could be that I might have forgotten some of the trips that I took during earlier years. But I dont think so. 2001, Alanya2002, Alanya for two weeks2010, Side2011, Alanya2012, Özdere Izmir / Kusadasi2013, Alanya2014, Oba This equals 7 trips to Turkey, about 56 days – give or take a few. I cant tell for sure which one of the different trips that was 7 or 8 days, so I’ve summed it up…

The temple of Apollo
The temple attracts crowds for sure, especially during sunset when it looks its best. But did I take one of those amazing images of the temple during the sunset? No. Do I regret it? Yes. Yes, I had the pleasure of seeing some of the turtles, just at a distance though, but maybe that’s a good thing, they are really big. This is not the end of the road, there’s…

I think Im just beginning to see the beauty of the UK, I would have loved to do a roadtrip or taken a trainride through the countyside. Vienna, after seeing all of the amazing christmas images of the captital of Austria, I do wish that I would have booked a trip for christmas. But then again, maybe Santa will grant my wish for 2019. W for Washington. I have actually been to Washington, but just for one weekend. When a 24 hour delay…

Roman theatre in old town Side
This was one of those “lets just go on a trip an relax”-trips, but did you know that there are ruins of ancient Side scattered all over the old town? The theatre was built in the middle of the 2nd century AD, on the site of an earlier, Hellenistic, theater. It represents the Roman type of theaters, because it was built on the foundation that was supported by the barrel vaults. But you can clearly see the influence of Greek architecture. Can you imagine, in the late Roman Empire times, when the forms of entertainment was the gladiatorial combats and shows with wild animals as a big orchestra was playing.…
