A second impression of London…
I feel like I should be in that Alanis Morrisette song, Head over Feet, that goes “You’ve already won me over in spite of me”… but no, London really didn’t win me over. It is a pretty amazing city, and some parts of it I really enjoyed, but the overall vibe is a bit too much for my taste. I would say that it moves too fast. The city is vibrant and colorful, the people are super-friendly and I do love all of the art. But still… I can’t quite keep up the pace. It’s quite an unpopular opinion right? The one thing I did enjoy the most besides the…

22 of July – Five years!
On July 22nd, 2018 we wrote our first post on this blog, announcing the start of Anngelic as we just booked a New Year’s trip to Dublin with most of our closest friends. That was five years ago. We are actually celebrating five years with Anngelic today! I have tried to count how many trips we have made since the birthday of Anngelic, and I do believe it’s about 35 trips, within 15 different countries. We have been on road trips, gone train trotting, been through canceled flights and delays, seasickness on boats, been on beer spas, wine tasting, cooking classes, had shopping sprees, visited museums, slept in bad beds…

Great spots for food in Karpathos
Well, I have most of my recommendations for places to eat in Karpathos in Pigadia, or Karpathos town as we have heard it being called. But we did visit the nearby village Amoopi as well, so our favorites for the cutest beach town ever are also in the mix. At the bottom of the post, you will find some honorable mentions, and recommendations for bars, coffee shops, and cute places. Greek salad, some wine, and a plate of mixed grilled meats @ Mama Maria Restaurant. Don’t you just love the little blue decanter that we got served with wine? So cute! We started with sharing some dolmades for starters and…

Cats of Karpathos
Nah, there’s really no need to have any text at all in a post like this one, right? So just enjoy all of the pretty cat-pictures from the island of Karpathos in Greece, and have a great day!

First impression of Gdansk
As you might have noticed, Poland has become quite our recent favorite. We have been to Krakow, and Warsaw before, and in late December of 2022, we visited Gdansk. And we love, love, loved it! We had an amazing weekend, not only because we managed to get the dates right and flew into the city on the opening day of the Christmas market, but because the city was just all that you could ever want. It is old but modern, the river Motława runs straight through the city and it may be just me but I love being close to the water. Gdansk also has a big bell tower that…

Did we really eat that much tzatziki?
Yes, that is the question… did we really eat that much tzatziki? And the short answer is yes. But if we opt for the more extended version I’ll try to explain our obsession with the Greek little piece of magic served in a bowl. It’s really quite simple, it’s yogurt, cucumber, garlic, and spices. Tzatziki. And we love it! We stayed in Karpathos for seven days, and as you can see there are eleven pictures of tzatziki so we had it more than once a day. If I am not mistaken we had tzatziki with all of our meals, not for breakfast though – but I definitely could, but it…

We’re going back to London
Yeah I know, I have said it and I know it so don’t come for me! London is not my favorite destination, and I really did not think that going back to the city was in the cards me, atleast not so soon. If you can actually call it soon when you haven’t been to London since 2016? But this will be the first family vacation we’ll go on in five years time. So get to bring the kid, who’s not really a kid anymore, but anyways… he’ll be going with us on this trip, and he wanted to see London. So London here we come! 😀 We would love…

Church of St Apostle
While visiting the small island Karpathos in Greece, we stayed in a town called Pigadia. But during our stay, we took a daytrip to a nearby village called Amoopi, where the first thing we found was this adorable little church. I mean, it’s so cute and typical for a Greek church that we had no other choice but to stop for a quick photo break. Naturally, I will show you some more from Amoopi itself, but I love these images so much that I thought that they deserved their own post. And no, I did not intentionally match my outfit to the church! 😀

Pigadia Karpathos
We have just checked in at our hotel in Pigadia for a week of exploring the island of Karpathos in Greece, and of course to enjoy all of the amazing Greek food. As per usual we don’t have any major plans for our week, besides enjoying the sun, relaxing and maybe catching up on some reading. The island that we are currently on is located in the Aegean Sea, kind of between the islands Rhodes and Crete. We are staying in the town Pigadia, which is the capitol and the main port of the island. If any one of you have ever been on this island and have some recommendations…

Breakfast, lunch or dinner in Thessaloniki
We had a lot of tzatziki in Thessaloniki, I’ll tell you that! Tzatziki with olives, tzatziki with souvlaki, with gyros, with fried fish… with wine? sure! For breakfast, no didn’t but maybe we should have. So I thought kind of doing a post where I give you guys some recommendations of where you can pick up some great Greek food, whether you are up for dinner, a quick lunch, breakfast, or just some street food. And at the end of the post, I’ll share some places that are good for a drink or a snack. Hope you enjoy the read! This was just an opening on a corner, where a…
