Heavy snowfall
The snow fell last night, and it’s heavy with the snow. Not chaos worth of snow, not nearly as much and even though we live in Sweden and it’s kind of known for it’s snow there’s always chaos when the first real snow hits. There’s truckers everywhere, trains canselled and schools are out. So what about flights? The flights are on time as usual, but the roads leading up to the airports are worse. It’s like you’re trying to get north of the wall, while passing throgh a heard of fugitive sheep. Not that I blame them. There’s snow. With all it’s glory. The snow is really beautiful, but I’m really…

Advent wishlist, part 3
Nashville. Yes I know, the coutrymysic Hall of Fame in Tennesse. Who wouldnt want to visit the Grand Ole Opry and see a future legend. I actually do like the genre of music so I would most defenatly appreciate the journey. Orleans, as in New Orleans. I know thats kind of cheating, since it really start with an N, but since it’s my blog… The city of festivals, vibrant nightlife, creole architechture and jazzmusic. Sounds magical. New Orleans has been a dream of mine for quite some time now, I want to stroll down the Mississippi river, visit the Bourbon Street and admire the French Quaters. Palermo. Italy seems to…

Santa Lucia
This church in Venice Italy is a well known because of the grave of Santa Lucia di Siracusa, who is celebrated on December 13th. We kind of stumbled upon it when we took our trip to Venice, crossing the square and almost missing it. Beautiful right? //Ann #travelblogger #italy #venice #church #lucia #travelphotography

St Peter’s Basilica
Did you know that it’s possible to climb up to the top of St Peter’s dome in the Vatican City? It’s quite a climb and I do not recomend it if you’re claustrofobic or afraid of hights. As always, if you intend to climb to the top, go in the morning, before most of the other tourists are awake. They open at 8. Or if you want a sunset with an amazing view, so just before closing time. I reccomend that you buy you ticket before hand online, just to avoid the ticketline. During high season the line will eat up half of your day. It’s possible to take an…

There are boattrips that take you from Marbella to Gibraltar, daytrips including dolphinsafari for 45 €. At the Upper rock you will surely bump in to one of the threehundred wild monkeys that live there, but be careful, they are known to be a bit violent, so keep distance. Highlands, yes to travel…

Spa treatments
We use to do this yearly spa thing at Nynäs Havsbad, where we all booked our different treatments, soaked in the hottubs outdoors, had a great dinner and enjoyed some bubbly. The herbal treatment is magic, by the way, the smell is absolutly divine. I usually skipped the massage though, my body really cant handle that, I’m sore for several day afterwards. It’s really not worth it for me, even though I enjoy it at the moment. There’s just something different about this Spa, maybe its the fact that it’s surrounded by the cliffs, the ocean and the sky. And no matter what season you go there, it’s always just…

Il Vittoriano
Il Vittoriano in Piazza Venezia, Rome – you just you can’t ignore it. It’s an amazing building that are seen from several different places around the city, whereever you go, you are sure to see this. Not that I’m complaining, it’s a great view, especially when the sun sets. But then again, all building look great during the sunset. All this digging around in the images taken in Rome, makes me want to go back. But, have you ever been in Rome during the winter? How’s the weather, say in february? //Ann #nouwtravelblog #travelblogger#travelphotography #italy #rome

When you hit jackpot!
Isn’t this just the best, kind of like hitting the jackpot! You know that feeling, when you check in to your hotelroom, throw your bag on the bed, start checking the room out and then you find gold… the room has a bathtub. So this was me one morning in Prague, I was in the bathtub the entire morning when the others were out assisting Ann on a photoshoot. Quite nice. What do you prefer, tub or shower? //Angelica

Ruinbar – Szimpla Kert
So what is a ruinbar?Well, it’s a bar built in a scrappy building with willfully mismatched furniture, and the most famous of them Szimpla, even has an old car in the garden that doubles as a table and chairs. The environment is really open, but there’s clutter everywhere. Everywhere. Arts and trinkets in all misplace locations making the bar filled with little treasures to find. In the bar area, there are several different smaller bars to get your drink of choice. And of course, there’s a scene with live music. Szimpla is the oldest and most popular of the ruin bars, they pretty much offer you everything you need for…
