Yes, who hasn’t spend a week or two sunbathing in Alanya. I’ve been to Turkey about… I don’t know, I’ve lost count on how many times. A few years back, we had at least one week in Turkey, each year, just to relax and enjoy the sun, the ocean and the food. The Turkish cousine is amazing, regardless if you’re at a fancy resturant, a beach lunchplace, ordering drinks at the poolarea or exploring the local grocery store range. Medieval week
I do belove that I have forgotten to show you some of the images from medieval week in Visby, Gotland this summer. So here we go… Pure magic if you ask me. Infinity pool
Isnt this an amazing pool area?An infinity pool looking out over the Mediterranean sea, that’s one of the most relaxing poolareas I’ve had the pleasure of visiting. As you can see, mostly by the size of the evergrowing kid, this trips to Turkey was a few years ago. We stayed at Paloma hotels in Özdere, quite close to Izmir if you know where that is. It was one of those secluded all inclucive hotels with tree poolareas, several private beaches and if I remember correctly five different resturants belonging to the hotel. I collect ducks
Yes, that’s my thing. I think most of of have that one thing we’re always looking to buy when we travel the world, I know I do. I always run around in different souvenir shops and boutiques trying to find my things. I collect ducks and I try to find one in every city but it’s not always that easy so imagine my surprise when we stumbled upon a duck store in Barcelona. There was a sea of tourists craming to get through, just to get that one good image. As did I. Have you ever tried Pàlinka? I’ts a traditional fruit brandy that has been served since the middle ages, it comes in several different flavours, made with locally grown fruits like apple, apricot, cherries and plum. Sounds yummie right? Well, the bartender was more than willing to serve us a glas of Pàlinka and when we asked if he enjoyed it the answer was no. He compared the taste of the liquor to windowcleaner. Yeah right, one might think. But yes, that man was not wrong. Architecture in London
In my last post reguarding Lonon, I was quite harsh about my feelings towards the city and me kind of not liking it. And that’s my overall feeling after my first weekend spent in UK, ever. But I do love the arcitechture and the cities uniqe structures, and I just had a fever – I was not blind. The buildings in the city are really amazing, and one of my absolut favorites are the details on St Paul’s cathedral. Do you have a favorite part of the city or a favorite building in London?
