Dinner @ Nåttarö Krog
It was a magical night … outdoor seatings with a view overlooking the ocean as the is going down. It’s that kind of place that you see in the movies, you know the one where they show the perfect first date. That movie could have been shot at Nåttarö Krog. Their menu changes with the seasons, during the summer there are more choices, but as they only have open during the weekends in the autumn the menu is a bit smaller. They close for a few months and then open back up for Christmas. The menu does not much though, and I can still see some of my favorite dishes…

Italian Chicken Alfredo
This is like a 20-minute recipe, perfect for anyone who really does not feel like cocking an entire thing but still serving that little extra. You start by cutting your chicken fillet or chicken breasts into small pieces. If cut them really thin they will cook faster and more evenly. Season the chicken with freshly ground salt and pepper. Use a large skillet or frying pan, add some butter and garlic and fry you chicken until they are golden brown and cooked through. You don’t want any pink chicken. Start boiling the pasta, al dente. You all know what that is, don’t you? Lower the heat to medium and add…

How to make the most of the autumn
I am well aware that the autumn has kicked in, it’s November, I know… But I just can’t shake the feeling that the summer should have been a bit longer, at least a few more months. Don’t you agree? So walking around in nature, really? Well, I am trying my best to enjoy what’s left of the autumn before all the colors are gone, and the world turns into a brownish-grey for about six months. Depressing though right, but that’s why you have to make the most of the days when the sun is shining, before the nights get longer and the days get colder. So it’s about taking hold…

4 tips for great cocktails in Visby
If you haven’t been to the medieval city of Visby, on the island of Gotland in Sweden, you should really start planning that trip. The city has so much to offer and today I thought I would share some of my favorite places for drinks and cocktails, hope you enjoy the read! Värdshuset Lindgårdens Ginbar It’s a restaurant and a hotel, with a gin bar… could it be any better? And it’s not like you have a few Gin and Tonics to choose from, they hand you a five pages long menu with more different kinds of cocktails, all made with Gin. I’ve said it once, but…

Highlights from the summer of 2020
We did a short review last year, from the Summer of 2019 so I thought we would do the same with 2020, even though this year has not nearly brought as many exotic travel destinations as last year. Fun fact, this is the first summer, in TEN years that I have not been abroad. We have always had our summervacations abroad, so this is the first year in forever and then some that we are doing the entire summer in Sweden. Most days were naturally spent at home, chilling in the backyard with some barbeque, playing games, and having some amazing laughs. Having a cocktail in the backyard. {4-html} Brittish…

Fårö and the rauks
During our swecation to Gotland, we brought a car so that we could take a daytrip to another island just north of Gotland, called Fårö. And to be completely honest, the only reason that we went to Fårö, is for the simple reason that I kept bothering my travel companions to see the rauks.Have you ever heard of such a thing like a rauk? You can go by car, bus, taxi, or bike to the ferry station that will get you across from Gotland to Fårö in just a few minutes. And it will cost you nothing at all to go the ferry. From there its a bit of drive,…

Days on the beach
I never knew that I could find so many hidden treasures in my own backyard. Exploring our local surroundings this summer has been so much fun, and our weekend on the island of Nåttarö was one of the best once I have had in a long time. I mean, magical beaches, sun, and great company – what more can a girl ask for? From Stockholm in Sweden, it will take you about 45 minutes to get to Nynäshamn by train, and from there you take the ferry over to the island of Nåttarö which will take you yet another 35 minutes and set you back about 20 euro per person…

British pub night
Who does not like a good pub crawl? Maybe not a crawl, but I do enjoy walking around from pub to pub and having a cider, a beer, and some good local pub food. So for this week’s episode of our series of Food Travel we did just that, we created a British pub night. One of my all-time favorites when it comes to pub food is Shepards Pie, I think you have all heard of it and maybe even seen it, but have you tried it? It’s really quite easy to make. You just mix minced meat, Worchester sauce, soya, salt and pepper, and an egg together to make…

Tapas @ Exit
During one of our daytrips to Stockholm in Sweden, we were searching for a good tapas bar, and we found Exit lounge and bar located in the southern parts of the city. It’s super easy to get there from the center of the city, I am guessing it will take you about 7 minutes to walk there from the subway station Stockholm Södra. The address is Götgatan 53, just type it into GoogleMaps, and you’ll see how easy it is to get there. They don’t only serve tapas at Exit lounge and bar, but that’s what we were in the mood for so that’s what we got. And c’mon, after…

Vacationmode on Fårö
Winelunch by the beach on the island Fårö. Yeah, I am still on vacationmode so that’s why it might be a bit quiet in here whilst I am hanging around places like in the image above. But you all know I am bad at updates when I am actually on my vacations, I don’t need to apologize for that do I? We kind of stumbled upon this place as we were looking for a place to have lunch before we started exploring the little island Fårö just outside Gotland here in Sweden, pretty cute huh? If you’re up for some more images, check out our Instagram where we’ve uploaded some…
